wilwebs.org is the company, founded by Wil Ransz. That is me, there at the right.
I am Dutch, and live in the Breda area in the Netherlands – about 60 km southeast of Rotterdam.
Since my first job, I have been active in the fields of sales and marketing. Mainly business-to-business (B2B).
My background is not in information technology (IT), but in business administration. There was a time that I wanted to become an accountant.
I have an interest in IT since the introduction of the P2000,. A home computer from Philips, and a competitor of the Commondore 64.
My first job was a junior sales rep with an ERP-company, where I started working with real computers – the IBM PC, the System/3X, and the AS/400.
Even though the first websites were mainly text, with headings in blue or red, I knew it was something special. Since the mid ’90s, I am making my own.
February 2012, I wanted to start blogging about web design and WordPress, and was in the need of a domain name.
My first choice was wilsweb, but that name was taken at the time. Eventually, I settled for wilwebs. A name even a bit snappier than wilsweb.
One of the things that I like most about blogging is that it creates opportunities to connect and share experiences with other people.
So when you would like to get in touch, just do it. The easiest way is probably with this contact form.
My promise to you is that every authentic message will get a serious reply – the same day, or otherwise the next business day.
